Andro Dunos II Available for Pre-Order on 3DS, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Dreamcast

Andro Dunos II

PixelHeart have announced pre-orders for the physical version of retro shoot ’em up Andro Dunos II on modern consoles systems and Dreamcast are now available.

The original Andro Dunos launched in 1992 for Japanese arcades, Neo Geo, Neo Geo CD, and Dreamcast; and tasked players with defending Earth from alien invasion. Players could cycle between four different weapons, and can “spend” a level of a weapon’s upgrade to launch charge shots.

Andro Dunos II, also launched in 1992 by SNK ON and developed by Visco, has each weapon tied to a shield that guards different parts of the ship. Choose your weapon carefully, as you dodge and block shots, blast foes, and tackle aliens across sky, space, planet’s surfaces, and underwater.

You can find an earlier gameplay trailer below.

While PixelHeart have announced pre-orders being open for the physical Nintendo Switch version, they are offering a physical release for all platforms; including the Nintendo 3DS and Dreamcast. Pre-orders for all platforms appear available now. Only 20,000 numbered copies will be produced (compete with a certificate of authenticity from PixelHeart and Just For Games), with 5,000 sold from PixelHeart’s own website.

Andro Dunos 2 launches September 2021 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Dreamcast.
