Atari Founder Nolan Bushnell Returns With New Company Athena Worlds

Atari founder Nolan Bushnell returns with new company Athena Worlds, a new technology-focused game company.

Bushnell is leading the new outfit as part of their board of directors, and the company notes their focus is to offer video game technology that produces film-level realism in graphics.

The board of directors at Athena Worlds includes other big names from companies like Blizzard Entertainment, Electronic Arts, Konami, and King. Athena Worlds will develop games for Windows PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo and even smartphone platforms.

Lastly, Athena Worlds noted their toolsets and software will be available to license to other developers and publishes, like other middleware offered in the past.
