BitSummit 2024 set for July, applications now open

BitSummit 2024 has been detailed and confirmed to run next summer, alongside the launching of applications for indie devs wanting to participate.

The next iteration of the indie Japanese expo, titled BitSummit Drive, will run from July 19th through the 21st.

“Embracing the spirit of ‘BitSummit Drift,’ this year’s event symbolizes the swift and dynamic flow of indie gaming,” show organizers said in a press release. “Kyoto, a city with a legacy of game development and home to leading indie studios, sets the stage for this global gathering of creativity and collaboration.

They added, “BitSummit Drift is more than a festival; it’s a launchpad for indie developers to showcase their talent. With industry giants in attendance as sponsors, and partnerships with influential Japanese media, developers have the chance to turbocharge their visibility and network with key industry players.”

Lastly, indie devs can submit their games to be showcased over on the official submission portal here.
