The first episode of the latest “cute girls doing cute things” series Do It Yourself! will have premiere screening at the upcoming Crunchyroll Expo next month.

Originally announced last year, Do It Yourself!! features students with a hobby for making their own furniture and other woodworking projects. The series will be directed by Kazuhiro Yoneda who’s known for his work on Kageki Shoujo!! and Kabukibu.

Animation studio Pine Jam is also on the project. Pine Jam is known for their work on Gleipnir, Gamers!, and Mahou Shoujo Nante Mouiidesukara. Yuusuke Matsuo is the character designer for the series, his prior projects include Black Rock Shooter, Encouragement of Climb, and The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls.

Do It Yourself!! follows high school girls working on DIY projects, as they struggle, fail, yet don’t give up and see the projects through to their end. The story depicts the lives of those girls as they take the first step toward the future.
