Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Gameplay & New Features Trailer; Switch Version Includes More Playable Vegito and Gotenks

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Vegito Gotenks

Bandai Namco Entertainment have released gameplay trailers for the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarotincluding Vegito and Gotenks.

As previously reported, the action RPG follows the earliest parts of the Dragon Ball Z story; from the invasion of the Saiyans, to the Majin Buu Saga. Players can also meet classic Dragon Ball characters as they roam the world, and take part in fishing and gathering food for stat-boosting meals.

As explained in the press release [1, 2]. the Nintendo Switch version (Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot + A New Power Awakens Set) also includes both parts of the A New Power Awakens DLC. This brings characters and forms from Dragon Ball Super- far later in the canon’s timeline. Players can fight Beerus and Golden Frieza; unlocking Super Saiyan Blue forms for Goku and Vegeta.

In addition, players will be able to play as fused characters Vegito (Vegeta and Goku) and Gotenks (Goten and Trunks) outside of select gameplay segments. These are unlocked via two substories, and other reports have suggested this exclusive content is appearing first on Nintendo Switch.

Pre-orders grant players an additional sub-story, cooking items to improve players stats, 10 D-Medals and early access to Bonyu’s training, and “a new original character design from Akira Toriyama.”

You can find the trailers below.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available for Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and September 24th on Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (We recommend it).
