Get a Look at How Battles in The Legend of Legacy Pan Out

Furyu has revealed some new gameplay clips for The Legend of Legacy, their upcoming 3DS RPG.

Featured above and below, the new gameplay segments are entirely dedicated to the game’s battle system. The first battle video depicts a simple battle with some casual level enemies.

If you haven’t been following our coverage of the game, it’s a turn based RPG, and this gameplay definite reiterates how vanilla of a turn based RPG it is. One of the cool features shown off, however, is the tank stepping in front of and covering his allies in battle.

Next up, the second battle video shows off a seemingly tougher enemy. There’s definitely more of a focus on the various special abilities over simply attacking, especially the various magic spells that are cast.

Some of the magic that can be seen in the gameplay video are healing and supportive spells, like Aqua Heal and even the Splash Wall.

The Legend of Legacy is coming to the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on January 22nd.
