Here’s the First Look at Godzilla on Playstation 3

Godzilla has landed again! We’ve finally gotten the first look at Bandai Namco’s brand new Godzilla game, which is currently in development for the Playstation 3.

The new screenshots, featured above and below, come via the new preview that was published online via Famitsu.

This particular version of Godzilla is based off of the S.H. MonsterArts’s Tokusatsu era version of the monster, having his actual physical model scanned in to base the 3D models off of.

The game seems to be heavily trying to focus on recapturing the feel and look that the movies themselves have, quoting “movie like special effects yesteryear,” and “distinctive camera angles,” among others.

In the game, you’ll kick, fight, and smash your way through various cities. We still don’t know the actual name of the game, so for now it’s just being referred to as Godzilla.

A release date was not confirmed, but development is currently 40% percent complete.
