Jiro Ishii live-action adventure game officially titled Shibuya Scramble Stories

The new “Shibuya Live-Action Adventure Game” from game creator and 428: Shibuya Scramble executive producer Jiro Ishii has an official title: Shibuya Scramble Stories.

The previously announced live-action adventure game was successfully crowdfunded via Ubgoe this spring and raised over 34 million yen, or roughly $23,500.

While development on the new sequel is underway, new and returning actors were confirmed, including: Kousei Amano who played Shinya Kano in 428: Shibuya Scramble and Yuta Nakamura who played Achi Endo in 428: Shibuya Scramble.

Both actors are returning alongside the previously confirmed actors Masakazu Arai, who played Keima Amemiya in the 1998 game Machi, as well as Fumio Kitagami, who played Minoru Minorikawa in the game 428: Shibuya Scramble. Singer Aya Kamiki, who did the theme song for 428: Shibuya Scramble, is also returning to do the new game’s theme song.

While release platforms and a release date for Shibuya Scramble Stories weren’t confirmed, an “Emergency Press Conference 2” will be held on July 13th in which they’ll share the latest details on the project. Ishii also confirmed he will be appearing at BitSummit 2025, where he will hold a talk on July 18th.

Here’s a new teaser trailer, plus a recording of the first Emergency Press Conference:
