Square Enix has announced some cool news: they’re bringing Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride to both iOS and Android. This is welcome but unsurprising news, what with Dragon Quest II, IV, and VIII already on either or both of the platforms.
Dragon Quest V, which was originally localized first for the Nintendo DS, initially follows the young protagonist and his father on their travels, during which travels the boy is captured and taken into slavery. The story jumps ahead to him as an adult, being forced to choose a bride: the childhood friend Bianca, the reserved yet wealthy Nera, or the needy older sister of Nera, Debora. From there, the protagonist embarks on his own adventure with his wife and kids.
Further details for the mobile port have not been confirmed, not even a price for Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride (although apparently we’ll know more on that soon).
