Sid Meier’s Civilization VII gameplay showcase announced for August

It’s been roughly two months since publisher 2K and developer Firaxis Games announced Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, and yet we haven’t actually seen the game.

The companies are looking to remedy that with a newly announced Sid Meier’s Civilization VII gameplay showcase, now set for later this month on August 20th.

The new showcase will kick off at 1:30 PM Pacific / 4:30 Eastern over on the official Firaxis Twitch channel and will include 20+ minutes of gameplay and commentary.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is in development for Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PS4, and PS5. It will release sometime in 2025.
