Square Enix’s “Light Visual Novel RPG” is Schoolgirl Strikers for Mobile

Remember that weird “light visual novel-style RPG” that Square Enix was teasing on April Fools Day? Well, apparently it’s the real deal. Square Enix have announced Shoolgirl Strikers for iOS devices.

Both of the previous teaser sites, Stellaprisma and Team043, now redirect to the Schoolgirl Strikers website. The cast in the game features Ayaka Asai, Kaori Ishihara, Mariya Ise, and Yu Asakawa among a rather large number of other talents.

The game is set to arrive this Spring in Japan. It will be free to play but will contain item-based micro-transactions. The technical requirements for the game are also quite high: you will need iOS 7 to play the game.
