State of Unreal showcase by Epic Games set for March 2023

Epic Games has announced they’ll be doing another State of Unreal showcase which is set for next month.

The new showcase kicks off on March 22, 2023 at 9:30 AM PST. It’s set to last an hour and people can expect them to make announcements regarding large titles based on their powerful Unreal Engine 5.

Last year their previous showcase released the popular The Matrix Awakens tech demo and revealed CDPR dropping their in-house engine in favor of the latest iteration of Unreal Engine for The Witcher.

The upcoming Tomb Raider title, which would also be based on Unreal Engine 5, was announced during this event as well.

No hints have been given about this State of Unreal. Though judging from the previous year’s announcements, it can be basically guaranteed that there will be some big name game announcements for titles which will be using Unreal Engine 5.

The showcase will occur live during GDC 2023, but you can also view it on YouTube or Twitch.
