Tokyo Game Show 2025 main visual and exhibitors revealed

The showrunners for Tokyo Game Show 2025 have unveiled the main visual and theme for the latest in their long-running trade show, which runs from September 25th through the 28th in Tokyo at the Makuhari Messe.

The main theme for Tokyo Game Show 2025 is “Unlimited, Neverending Playgrounds” and the main visual was created once again by illustrator Zashiki Warashi, as seen above.

“I am truly happy to have received so many reactions to the teaser illustration,” Zashiki Warashi said in a press release. “I’ve never had the experience of releasing a teaser and a main visual separately before,so receiving comments like “I’m looking forward to the main one too” was very new.As the main visual’s release draws near, I’m very much looking forward to it myself.Even my mother has been looking forward to the release. This visual incorporates many elements of games that I love. I drew it with a feeling of gratitude towards those involved in game production.I put my heart into it despite the pressure of such a prestigious event like TGS. I would be happy if visitors to TGS enjoy it even a little!”

Alongside the new visual reveal is the trade show’s exhaustive list of exhibitors, which at the time of writing includes 772 individual companies (473 from Japan, 299 from overseas) encompassing 4,083 booths. The new show greatly surpasses last year’s record of 3,252 booths, positioning Tokyo Game Show 2025 to be the largest in its history.
