A very simple feature that the PS4 seems to lack is an option to be notified when a friend of yours logs on. However, if this trailer is any indication, that might be changing soon.

Around the 10 second mark in the above video, there is a notification that pops up in the top right of the screen, stating, “Christian Jones has logged in.” Perhaps a not-so-subtle hint? Here’s hoping it has options pertaining to it, such as the ability to choose which friends you receive updates for.
